A lasting memory for your AI agents

Never start
from zero again.

Your agent’s next session starts with what you already learned. Keep the decisions, discoveries, and fixes that move your work forward.

MemIndex in under a minute

Meet Tock and Nib.

A brilliant builder. A little owl. One tiny page.

Read and watch their story

Features that keep
the work moving.

The decisions, the next steps, and the lessons behind the code. Keep them useful beyond a single conversation.

Pick up where you left off

Save decisions, discoveries, fixes, and session summaries while you work. Recording integrations bring relevant context into later sessions.

Find the reason, not just the words

Search by meaning, follow the timeline around a match, and open the original notes when you need the detail.

See what your agent remembers

Browse sessions and notes in the local viewer. Keep work grouped by project, and merge projects when their history belongs together.

Choose what stays

Keep tagged private material and excluded projects out of memory. Delete a note or a whole project, and save an explicit note when something matters.

Keep long sessions going

Endless Mode carries Claude Code sessions through compaction with a written session record, so the work can continue with its history at hand. Available with the local worker.

Bring your history with you

Import existing memory or a MemIndex export, and export everything or one project to a file you can import again. Local Claude Code transcript replay and memory-file ingestion recover earlier work.

Keep the next step in sight

Track tasks and changing work state across sessions with the local worker. Your agent can return to the open work instead of rebuilding its to-do list.

Ask a focused body of knowledge

Build a knowledge agent from selected local notes and question that history. Code search and file outlines help your agent read the relevant parts of a project.

Run memory on your machine, or choose paid hosting for server-side note-writing, shared memory across machines, customer separation, and nightly backups. Read the setup guides.

Remember the why

Find the thought
behind the code.

“Why did we drop the refund queue?” Your agent can ask its memory just like that.

MemIndex searches by meaning, so it finds the decision even when the words are different. The reason from three weeks ago becomes the context for what you do next.

Less archaeology. More building.

Why did we drop the refund queue?

Decision

Keep the direct refund path

Moving refunds to a queue made the tests too slow. We kept the direct path.

The reason behind the change, ready for the next session.

You decide what stays

A memory you
can see for yourself.

Open the local viewer to browse every session and note. See what your agent remembers, and keep it useful.

Keep private things private. Private tags keep the things you mark out of memory.

Leave things behind. Delete a single note or a whole project whenever you want.

The change, with its reason.

Supported agents.

Choose the tool that suits the work. See exactly how each connection uses your memory.

Record your work and recall it later

Hooks, plugins, or conversation watchers save context as you work. Each guide explains what its agent records.

OMP is Oh My Pi. Pi always supports manual recall; automatic recording needs a compatible Pi release and worker. Check Pi compatibility.

Search the memory you already have

These MCP connections retrieve saved notes. They do not automatically record conversations.

Other MCP clients can connect to search, too. Follow their connection settings.

Using Gemini to write notes? Gemini is a supported note-writing provider. It is separate from the agent integrations above.

Keep the memory.
Hand us the upkeep.

Paid hosting gives all your machines and agents one memory, with the note-writing and care handled by us.

Hosted by usFrom $30/month

Take your context
everywhere.

Connect your machines to the same hosted memory. Claude Desktop and other MCP clients can search the notes your coding agents saved, using your private connection.

  • Notes written on our server, with a model tested for accuracy.
  • Your data kept apart, tested on every change.
  • Nightly backups, taken care of.

Good questions

A little more
context.

Ask us anything
What does MemIndex actually remember?

Short notes about the work: decisions, discoveries, fixes, and things that didn’t work. Each session also gets a summary. A viewer on your machine lets you browse what your agent remembers.

Can I bring memory from another tool?

Bring your history from the old plugin with one command: npx memindex import. Your original memory stays untouched.

Does it work with my coding agent?

From Claude Code, Codex CLI, and Hermes Agent to OMP, Cursor, and OpenClaw, MemIndex works where you do. Some integrations record your work; others search saved memory. Find your agent.

What does hosting cost?

Hosting starts at $30/month for Lite, with a 30-day trial. Plus is $70/month and Power is $100/month. You can also run MemIndex on your own machine with your chosen model service. Compare all plans.

Where does my data go?

Self-hosted notes live on your computer. Your chosen model receives the activity it needs to write them. With hosting, notes live on our server, separate from other customers. Read the privacy policy.

Why does the note-writing model matter?

A false note becomes a false memory. Your agent may use that memory to make its next decision. We choose and test the hosted model for accuracy, because getting the history right comes first.

You’ve already done the thinking.

Keep the momentum.
